Who are the programmes for?

The programmes are aimed at men and women aged between 30 and 65 who are relatively healthy and wish to maintain or improve their fitness level and well-being. Programmes are also aimed at those who have certain age-related degenerative changes and/or chronic non-communicable diseases, such as high blood pressure, excess body mass, sarcopenia (age-related loss of muscle mass), osteopenia/osteoporosis (age-related loss of bone mineral density), diabetes, or are experiencing increased psycho-physical stress. Moreover, even Junior and Senior athletes could benefit from our sports, strength and conditioning, injury prevention and late rehabilitation programmes.

MENTORING PROGRAMMES FOR WELL-BEING

Through exercise mentoring, individually or in small homogeneous groups, it is our purpose to gradually introduce changes in the individual’s lifestyle in the areas of physical activity, nutrition, awareness-raising and self health care. This enables improvement of fitness level, well-being and health status to the extent that the current work capacity, the transition to the third stage of life and coping with challenges that these life periods bring are as successful, coherent and balanced as possible.

On the other hand, through sport specific, strength and conditioning, preventive and late rehabilitation programmes, athletes achieve better performance and quicker and safer return to training and competition.

WHAT IS EXERCISE MENTORING

Exercise mentoring, either individually or in homogeneous groups, is an active collaboration between the mentor and the trainee or a group of trainees in preparing, learning, and implementing lifestyle-changing activities, while guiding the trainees to become more and more self-directed in their own healthcare and well-being.

Measurements, testing and analysis

The programmes include some basic measurements, tests and analyses that form the basis for tailor-made exercise programmes, such as:

Other targeted measurements, tests and analysis are possible by appointment according to the applicable price list and could include assessment and monitoring of (a)symmetries in mobility and stability, muscle stiffness, strength and power, contractile properties as well as assessment and monitoring of individual motor and functional abilities, aerobic and anaerobic capacities.
